Summer School success in Ecuador
Ecuador has had a great summer school season thanks to the hard work and dedication of the volunteers and staff on the team. On three days of the week, we concentrated on reviewing key areas in maths, language and sciences in the morning and then used the afternoons to give fun music, art, dance and PE classes to the school children.
Attendance was at around 90% across the 3 schools – testament to the great work the volunteers were doing. On the other two days, we delivered innovative English classes to the high school students in each community to help strengthen their knowledge of the foreign language.
And to make a fresh start for the new term – we painted all three schools inside and out, and did some much needed construction to effect repairs and improvements.
Here is a selection of photos showing some of the activities we got up to – thank you to all our summer school volunteers and staff!
