Stoving in Honduras
This week we had to say goodbye to our hardworking stover, Marlene, who has been with us on the stoving project in Honduras. Marlene has been 3 weeks here, 3 stoves built, for 3 families, in the community of San Rafael where we work in the local school.
These stoves will make huge difference to the families´ lives, reducing the amount of wood used, making it easier and safer to cook and most importantly reducing in house smoke inhalation (via a little chimney), which can add between 10-15 years to the lives of everyone in household. This is GVI volunteers really making a difference!
