Taking on yet more kids in Nicaragua
Estelí and the surrounding area called Las Segovias has been in Indian summer the last two weeks so we´ve been enjoying the nice weather.
As well Alison Williams, who recently worked on our project in Guatemala, arrived this week so we´ve been busy in the school.
She has been helping out with the preschool class who have been working on their vowels, doing some creative drawing, and of course - as any preschool class should be doing - playing plenty of fun games.
Meanwhile Steve and Katrien welcomed even more new students in the first grade making the official count 15.
They have been focusing on creating words from the vowels they have been working on the last few months in Spanish class and with a few of the more advance students some double digit additions.
Lastly we would like to congratulate the fifth grade teacher’s daughter-in-law, Gretal, who has been helping out occasionally at the school. She gave birth to a tiny yet lovely baby boy on Tuesday.
