Small business in San Rafael - Honduras
Along with the usual subjects our GVI Phoenix secondary school students learn how to run a small business. This week they took turns preparing and selling chile - a delicious mix of carrots, cauliflower, onion and spicy jalapeno peppers that goes very well with every meal - and pan dulce.
They learn how to make a budget and work out the selling price. They will use their profits to buy material for the school. And the students continue to use their new-found cooking skills at home. I wish I could say the same for myself.
