Inauguration of our new school in Santa Maria - Guatemala
On 29th April, the community and the families of our kids in Santa Maria joined together in the inauguration of our new school, which has taken five months to build, though every day has been worth it.
We now have a seven classrooms, a dining area, kitchen, storerooms and a great play area, which will be filled with our 250 students from now on, thanks to both the Biking and Volcano Challenges and also, very kind donations from past and present volunteers.
After cutting the ribbon, unveiling the plaque and planting the ceremonial tree, Pepián was served to everyone. A great day for everyone, and a great future for the kids and the community. Cheers!
