CONGRATULATIONS to all the Challengers on our first six Charity Challenges of 2011, biking from Guatemala to Honduras, the inaugural Nicaragua Volcano Challenge, Brazil's Chapada Diamantina Challenge , Guatemala's first Caribbean Kayak Challenge, Perú´s Cerani Pass and Ecuador's Volcano Challenge. Nicaragua's second volcano Challenge is set for 3rd-6th November and the third Guatemala Volcano Challenge dates are set for 27th November -2nd December.

Meet Anderson - Brasil


In Mata Escura GVI volunteers have welcomed Anderson, 10 yrs old with learning disabilities. This is his first ever experience in a classroom, around other children his age, but he is absolutely thriving. He is very gentle and thoughtful who loves arts and crafts, his favourite activity so far has been making and decorating a sailor’s hat with volunteers Mary and Catie. He is a genuine ray of sunshine in the school, always smiling. He also loves to help give out the morning fruit – he told us this morning that watermelon days are his favourite - as he was eating his 3rd slice!
